William "Tom" Thomas Stanfield

William “Tom” Thomas Stanfield, age 77 of Troy, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 at Troy Care & Rehabilitation Center in Troy. He was born on October 9, 1944 in Flemingsburg, KY to the late Lloyd and Maxine (King) Stanfield.

In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his sister, Connie Stanfield Roark.

He is survived by his three children, Tabitha (Larry) Riggle of Canal Winchester, OH, Lori (Mark) Spritzer of Columbus, OH and Bill (Tina) Stanfield of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Adam (Kali) Reynolds, Chris Reynolds, Ray Riggle, Felicia Stanfield and Lana Stanfield; great grandchildren, Skylar Reynolds, Mayla Reynolds and Logan Reynolds; three sisters, Bonnie Belden of Mt. Gilead, OH, Donna Fisher of Piqua, OH and Sue Laux of Troy; and several nieces and nephews.

Tom was a Vietnam Veteran and he proudly served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. He was stationed in Germany and Vietnam as well as several places in the United States. He later worked at Hobart Bros and retired from the former Panasonic in Troy. He belonged to the American Legion Post #43 in Troy and was a lifetime member at the Troy VFW #5436.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Friday, June 10, 2022 at the Veteran's cremorial columbarium at Riverside Cemetery, Troy with Pastor David Thomasson officiating. Military honors by the Veteran's Memorial Honor Guard of Troy will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N. County Rd. 25 A, Troy, OH 45373.
