William "Bill" A. Williams

William A. "Bill" Williams, age 79 of Troy, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Versailles Health Care Center, Versailles. He was born on December 10, 1942 in Cleveland, OH to the late William Edward and Lillian (nee Spry) Williams.

Those left to cherish Bill’s memory include his loving wife Nola Williams of Troy; daughter, Monica Williams of Piqua, OH; sons, William R. Williams of Houston, OH, Jonathan (Brandi) Williams of Columbus, OH, and James (Gulzina) Westfall of Troy; brother, Michael Williams of Troy; sisters, Barbara Sedensky of Cleveland, OH, and Lilla Boron of Solon, OH; grandchildren, Tia (Tom) White, Heather (Seth) Williams, Kristen Williams, William Lee Williams, Jacob (April) Williams, Hilliary Williams, Billy (Ashley) Pummill, Brandon (Ashley) Pummill, Dylan Williams, Jamaila (Danny) Melchers, Jazmine (Antwon) Overton, and Jannell Westfall; and 21 great grandchildren.

Bill graduated from Troy High School and later went on to work as a metrology supervisor for BF Goodrich for 20+ years, where he retired. He belonged to Troy Eagles #971, where he was the past president, Redmen Lodge #222, Son of American Legion post #43, and Troy Fish and Game. Bill loved golfing, he belonged to the Eagles Golf League and Miami Shores Golf Club. He also enjoyed bowling, tennis, watching football and being an umpire for softball.

A funeral service will be held at 10AM on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. A visitation will be held from 5-7PM on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the funeral home with a Eagles Lodge service at 7PM. Interment will follow the funeral service at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Memorial contributions may be made to ProMedica Hospice, 580 Lincoln Park Blvd #320, Kettering, OH 4542. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, OH.
