Thomas Allen Sedam, age 50 of Troy, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born March 30, 1971 in Piqua.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law John Yahle.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother and father Jon and Rita (Brumbaugh) Loufman of Troy; his wife Danielle (Cremeens) Sedam, whom he married September 30, 1995; his children Kristin and Dylan Sedam, both of Troy; sisters Theresa Applegate (Thomas) of Batavia, Christina Vennemeier (Mark) of Harrison, and Antoinette Deardoff (fiancé Jeff Wells) of Morrow; as well as mother-in-law Connie Yahle of Clayton and father-in-law Thomas Cremeens of Elgin, IL.
Thomas worked as a corrections officer for the Miami County Sherriff’s Department for the last four years. He previously worked as a steel fabricator at Mancor in Dayton for over twenty years. Thomas was an avid hunter and sports fan and coached little league for many years. He loved to cheer on the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. He also enjoyed playing and watching hockey, especially the Chicago Blackhawks and Columbus Bluejackets.
A Celebration of Life will be held 4:00PM Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor David Thomasson officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00PM-4:00PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
