Steve Michael Welch

Steve Michael Welch, age 57, of Troy passed away at 6:45 PM on April 26, 2021 at the Hospice unit of Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born on October 22, 1963 in Tacoma, WA to Clyde Welch and the late Sharon Vincent.

In addition to his mother, Steve is preceded in death by his brother, Everett Welch; sisters, Lisa Pence and Tara Swartz; mother-in-law, Rheta Bridges; and father-in-law, Robert Bridges.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Barbara (Bridges) Welch; daughter, Heather Welch and her husband Travis Kearns of Troy; son, Tyler Welch of Troy; father, Clyde (Patti) Welch of Saint Paris, OH; sisters, Laura (Craig) Whetstone of Urbana, OH and Tracy (Craig) Callison of Saint Paris, OH; brother, Steve Davis of Oak Creek, WI; brother-in-law, Mike Swartz of Saint Paris, OH; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Ken) Murray of Troy and Vickey (Randy) Adkins of Troy; and several nieces and nephews.

 Steve graduated from Graham High School and later went on to get his associates degree at Park University. He worked for 26 years at KTH Parts Industries Inc. in Saint Paris, OH and 5 years as a materials logistics supervisor for Navistar in Springfield. He belonged to the Troy Fish and Game. He loved traveling, hiking, guns/shooting at the gun range, gardening and landscaping.  Most importantly Steve loved spending time with his family.  

A memorial service will be held 5:30PM Friday, May 7, 2021 at First Baptist Church, Troy. Family and friends are welcome from 4:00PM-5:30PM at the church. With respect, please wear a mask if you plan to attend. A dinner will follow the memorial service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County, 3230 North County Rd., 25A Troy, OH 45373 or Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
