Stella Marcella Wallace

Stella Marcella Wallace, age 91 of Troy, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Koester Pavilion, Troy. She was born in Otway, OH on November 5, 1931 to the late Jesse and Ethel (nee Walters) Stamper.

In addition to her parents, Marcella is preceded in death by her husband Donald Wallace who passed away on June 6, 2013; and siblings, Maxine Gevedon, Charles Stamper, Nadine Sandlin, and Jesse Stampers, Jr.

Those left to cherish Marcella’s memory include her son, Russell “Bradley” (Virginia “Gina”) Neal of Tipp City, OH; daughter, LaDonna (Scott) Williamson of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Angelia Smith, Jason Koon, Keith Neal, Devin Williams, Christopher Williamson, and Hilary Williamson; siblings, Rodney Stamper of Tallahassee, FL, Dee Bishop of Perry, FL, Tina Bramblett of Whigam, GA, and Paulette (Clark) Byrd of Tallahassee, FL; sister-in-law, Rhonda Stamper of Chillicothe, OH, and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. 

Marcella graduated from Otway High School in Otway, OH. She enjoyed listening to gospel and country music and loved animals. Marcella had a generous heart, she loved taking care of her family and especially making sure they were always fed.

A funeral service will be held at 5 PM on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Joey Sandlin officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 3-5 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at 9 AM on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton, OH. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home.
