Michael Joseph Lewis

Michael Joseph Lewis, age 57 of Milford and formerly of Versailles, OH, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023. He was born April 29, 1965 in Chicago, IL to Joseph Lewis and Kay Mary (McRae) Lewis.

Michael was preceded in death by his father Joseph Lewis and his sister Mary Lewis.

Those left to cherish Michael’s memory include his wife of 25 years, Tamara (Yount) Lewis, his mother Kay Mary Lewis of Troy; children Tyler (Katie) Selhorst of Abilene, TX and Brady (Kirsten) Selhorst of Cincinnati; grandchildren: Gordon, Maria, Samuel, Lily, Zoey, and AJ; brothers: Robert “Bob” Lewis of California, Greg (Laura)Turner of Nevada, and William “Bill” Lewis of California; as well as sister Ann (Scott) Hufford of Troy, OH, and many nieces and nephews.

Michael was a graduate of Troy High School and attended Miami University. He worked for Exhibit Concepts, Inc. in Vandalia as an engineer. Michael had a passion for sailing and boating and even completed a three-year wooden boat building course in Kennebunkport, ME. He enjoyed hiking and being in nature. Woodworking was one of his many talents. More than anything else though, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 3:00PM Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. Visitation will be from 1:00PM-3:00PM at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
