Lucy Lou (Finfrock) Kirsch

Lucy Lou Kirsch, age 92 of Troy, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 in the inpatient unit of Hospice of Miami County, Troy. She was born November 3, 1930 in Piqua to the late Milo and Garnet (Coate) Finfrock.

Lucy married Kenneth Arthur Kirsch, Sr. on June 30, 1951 and he preceded her in death on August 11, 2013. She was also preceded in death by two infant brothers, brother Lauren Thomas Finfrock and sister Judy Mae Rosenkrans.

Those left to cherish Lucy’s memory include her son Kenneth Arthur Kirsch, Jr. (Jill) of Green Bay, WI and William Milo Kirsch of Troy; daughter Rosemary K. Bayman of Troy; three grandchildren: Jeremy Line (Janet), Jennifer Line, and Christian Kirsch (Shannon), four great-grandchildren: Stella DiGiovanni, Lilly Kirsch, Syringa Kirsch, and Jaelynn Line; and brother Ronald J. Finfrock of Rancho Mirage, CA.

Lucy was a 1949 graduate of Piqua Central High School and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy. She retired as an electric motor assembler from A.O. Smith in Tipp City.

Lucy enjoyed painting and water aerobics. She was an avid reader and loved going out to eat at various restaurants. She had a wonderful sense of humor and had an innate ability to tune out the rest of the world. She frequented quarter auctions in the community and had a knack for cake decorating. Later in her life, Lucy relished in her retirement and traveled to visit family in California, Florida, and Mississippi.

A visitation will be held from 5:00PM-7:00PM on Friday, April 14 at the funeral home. A memorial mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 11:00AM with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.   Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home.
