John Burton Weaver

John Burton Weaver, age 86 of Troy, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Troy Care and Rehab Center. He was born January 8, 1935 to the late Russell and Helen Lynn Weaver.

He was preceded in death by his brothers George and Daniel Weaver, sister Pauline Davis, and father and mother-in-law Kenneth and Eileen Funderburg.

Those left to cherish John’s memory include his loving wife of 46 years Eva (Funderburg) Weaver, and sister Anna Reed (William) of Troy.

John worked at Troy Bowl for many years and that is where he met his wife. He also worked at the Knights Inn in Troy. John enjoyed crossword puzzles and especially loved to bowl; he was even a member of the bowling league at Troy Bowl.

A funeral service will be held 1:30PM on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Dale Christian officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30PM-1:30PM at the funeral home prior to the service.  Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
