Clarence Edward Vore peacefully passed away at 3:37 pm on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at SpringMeade Health Center in Tipp City, OH.
He was predeceased by his wife, Carol Louise Vanover, his parents, Clyde and Rachel (Null) Vore, his brothers, Kenneth Vore and James Vore and his sister Sally Vore Acton.
Clarence is survived by his only child, Rachel (Craig) Engle of New Carlisle, OH, his sisters, Peggy (James) Wildner of New Carlisle, OH, and Susan (Paul) McAdams of Piqua, OH, his brothers, Michael (Patty) Vore of Piqua, OH, Larry Vore of California, and his sister-in-law Cheryl Vore of Oregon as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Clarence graduated from Miami East High School and served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, where he was a Navy Seal. He loved assisting at the Veterans Museum of Troy. He most recently worked as a groundskeeper at Hayner Cultural Center and retired from Emery Air Freight. Prior to working at Emery, he worked as a meat cutter at Dinner Bell.
He loved listening to bluegrass music and reading western novels.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are pending at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
