Bruce Madsen Campbell, age 67 of Troy, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 25, 2021. He was born December 17, 1953 at Hamilton Air Force Base, California to the late David Campbell and Shirley (nee Ross) Campbell Zivney.
Those left to cherish Bruce’s memory include his wife Nina (Smith) Campbell, whom he married June 17, 1977; sons David Christopher Campbell of Dayton, James Richard Campbell (LeeAnn) of Vandalia, and Kenneth Prescott Campbell (Ashley) of Vandalia; grandchildren Makayla Danielle, Benjamin Alan, Lanie Elizabeth, Ian Nicholas, and Jaxson James; great-grandchildren Oliver, Jerry, and Liam; brothers James Campbell (Katherine) of Joy, IL, and Peter Scott Campbell (Beth) of Louisville, KY; sisters Cathryn McRee of Gas City, IN, Karen Juday (Jay) of Ft. Worth, TX, and Amy Samkutty (Mat) of Portland, OR; as well as many nieces and nephews. He will also be dearly missed by his beloved dog Lucy Lou.
Bruce was a hardworking handyman who was always willing to help a neighbor or friend in need. He enjoyed studying and learning about many different religions. He loved being outdoors and riding his bike on the Piqua bike path. Bruce also enjoyed weightlifting and working out. He was a member of Troy Fish and Game and worked for many years as a Team Leader of shipping/receiving for Industry Products in Piqua.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 PM on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia, OH 45377. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 AM to 1 PM. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy, OH.
