Gloria M. Bilbay

Gloria M. Bilbay, age 78 of Versailles, OH passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Saturday, March 23, 2024. She was born August 19, 1945, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Emma and Erich J. Buzilow. Gloria was a first-generation U.S. Citizen as her parents emigrated from Germany to the United States in the 1930s. She spent most of her life in Pennsylvania, but she made Ohio her home a few years after she and Bob married.

Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Gloria is survived by her three children: Stephen (Shannon) Staie of Red Oak, TX, Elaine (Matt) Spicher of Bloomsburg, PA, and Debra (Doug) Lavey of Bradford, OH. Nine Grandchildren: Alex (Sydni) Spicher, Devon Staie, Nick Spicher, Rosalind Staie, Lauren Spicher, Ainsley Staie, Emma Lavey, Daphne Lavey, and Zeb Lavey. Her Brother, Lee (Ginny) Buzilow and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Bilbay.

She was a graduate of Olney High School and Dobbins Technical School in Philadelphia PA. Throughout Gloria’s life her Faith and Love for the Lord was evident to all who knew her. She was a homemaker when her children were young and later cared for others in her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Gloria was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Tipp City, OH.

Her family would like to thank those who helped care for Gloria throughout her illness. Gloria loved baking and sharing food with family and friends. In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Gloria’s honor to your local food bank.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm, Saturday, April 13th, 2024, at Stillwater Community Church located at 7900 W. Sugar Grove Rd., Covington, OH. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
