Cristol Billie Metro

Cristol Billie Metro, age 68 of Troy, passed away peacefully at 9:46PM Sunday, February 18, 2023. She was born February 27, 1955 in Buffalo, NY to the late William and Daisy (Tuttle) Schutts.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Metro in July of 2021, and sisters Bonnie Howard and Lynn Egloff.

Those left to cherish Cristol’s memory include her daughters Kelly (Timothy) Hellmann of Troy, Nikole (Kevin) Harnish of Troy, and Laura Reed of Troy; brother Terrence (Joann) Schutts of New York; grandchildren Caleb (Taylor) Hellmann, Zachary (Madison) Hellmann, Deklan Hellmann, and Aiden Hellmann, Libby (Austin) Johnson, Leah Harnish, Luke Harnish, and Lavy Harnish, Skyler Reed, Jordan Reed, and Jillian Reed; great-grandchildren Olivia, Asher, and Braxton; as well as her beloved traveling companion, Teddy the goldendoodle.

Cristol was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Troy and graduated from Hamburg High School in Hamburg, NY. She was an avid baker and enjoyed knitting and gardening. Cristol had an adventurous heart and cherished her trips traveling cross-country in her RV.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
