Kathleen M. Barnhart, age 94 of Troy, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at Piqua Manor. She was born October 9, 1922 in Troy to the late Peter G. and Ethel M. (Quinn) Link.

Kathleen is survived by daughter and son-in-law Betty and Larry Bryant of Troy; grandsons Duane (Margie) Clawson of St. Louis, MO and David (Krystal) Clawson of Troy; granddaughters Anneli Bryant of Franklin and Angelica Bryant of Sweden; eight great-grandchildren: Terri, Brandy, Grant, Emily, Bryce, Leo, Hannah, and Annie; and one great-great-grandson Ethan.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, James E. Barnhart on December 26, 1986.

Kathleen was a member of First Lutheran Church in Troy and sang with the choir for over 40 years. She was very active in her community and was a member of Troy Senior Citizens, where she was part of the Fun Timers Band, life member of VFW Auxiliary Post #5436 in Troy, Partners in Hope, Health Partners, FISH, First Place Food Pantry, Services for the Elderly, MC Mental Health, and WACO.

A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with Pastor Heidi Holst officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM prior to the service at the funeral home with a VFW Auxiliary service at 10:50AM. Interment will be in Wheelock Cemetery in Union Township. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Miami County: PO BOX 502, Troy, OH 45373 or First Lutheran Church: 2899 W. Main St, Troy, OH 45373. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy.
